Google on Wednesday has rolled out a new update for Maps for desktop/ Web that will allow users to measure distance between multiple points on the map. The updated Google Maps service with the new feature has been rolled-out globally. Earlier this feature was available under the experimental Google Labs options only. With the new Google Maps for desktop, users can right click on the starting point and select Measure Distance between two or more points or can also click anywhere on the map to create a path that needs to be measured. Similarly, users can further click to add additional measuring points. A point can be dragged anywhere, or it can be removed with another click on it.
